Why is Every Organisation Emailing You on Coronavirus?

Have you noticed that every brand and business you acquired, whether recently or a long-ago, are shooting emails in concern of Coronavirus? At the initial stage, you might notice a big brand sending you emails like “Let’s get through this together,” but after a few days, you might have noticed that even small brands, shopping stores, and restaurants are shooting emails like “Things are getting worst” and mails to make you feel safe in the tribulation.  What exactly went down for brands to act like this? Here we have decoded why every brand seems to be texting you about the Coronavirus concern:

Is this a wise Email Marketing Strategy?

Not in every situation, experts say. Not all emails regarding the present situations are effective for the target audience and your business.

Here is a smart way of designing marketing emails according to your business. An American telecommunication organization known as Comcast has done a smart email marketing campaign for its customers.  They shot an email to all of its clients saying:

“Here is what we are doing to maintain the network as high as possible; here is what you can do if you face any network related issue.”

This kind of email from a telecommunication brand makes sense since it is relevant, beneficial for customers, and practical. On the other hand, when you see an email from a fashion brand saying you are not alone or let’s fight this together, this kind of email only does one thing, making you even more worried or frustrated.

As the number of cases is increasing, day by day, and the situations are getting worse; it is good for the businesses to provide continue customers updates for practical help such as safety and health or the accessibility to the essential products and services.

However, the same kind of emails can be the worst strategy for the companies who have remained inactive for months or years.  If these brands create a list of all of its clients for shooting emails regarding the pandemic just to highlight it as a do-gooder, then it will only irritate the customers.

To really show your clients that you care for them, you can serve them with some relaxation or offers, if possible. Serving and only telling your business care for its clients does not make sense at all.

The Coronavirus emails on the first impression do not seem like advertising at all, but these emails are part of big email marketing strategies because they offer practical details; the emails also make a brand more concerned about its advertisers.

Coronavirus has affected the economy badly, and now businesses have a very limited budget for marketing since the epidemic has begun.  Even the advertisement prices have also dropped significantly as no one is currently running the paid ads for their businesses. Facebook has noticeably lowered its cost per impressions, while the platform traffic is rising.

Most of the restaurants and state governments industries have closed and some have even shut down completely. Airlines are affected badly as very few passengers are travelling, and most flights are suspended. Only cargo flights are allowed, and people are also travelling in them.  Several brands are trying hard to adopt the new environment, and they are changing their marketing strategies to fit in. Digital marketing has now become much cheaper than ever before, however; the interest of marketers has faded away since the economy is struggling to survive.
